Come join us for a book signing (Meet & Greet) with
Author Janell Pearson, “For the Strength of Harlem- Plĕas Tusant
Pearson,” on Thursday, June 08, 2023, 3-6 pm EST, at 8 West
126 Street, New York (Harlem).
For the Strength of Harlem is a Biography Memoir about
Mr. Plĕas Tusant Pearson (pronounced Plĕz), he was a Community Activist and
Serial Entrepreneur. Two United States Presidents’ sons contacted him for his
support; he also owned a private limousine service for the Apollo Theatre. This
is a new memoir, you will learn about another hidden figure, an unsung hero in
history.
For those who are asking, “Who is that man in the
middle of Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X in the historic photograph taken by Howard
Bingham in 1963?”
Make no mistake, he was an “unsung
hero” not because he was seen in a photograph with these two
great men but because of his enduring actions to stand up for Black people
during the most challenging times in America. I hope you will be inspired by
his life story.
